This week, our Tuesday Beavers went on an expedition to Llewellyn Park as part of their Explore Activity Badge. They predicted what they might see, went on an exploration around the park in two groups, came back and reported to the other group what they actually saw. Some things surprised them!
Also, a number of new Beavers were invested into the Wednesday Colony this week, which is great news and we know that they will continue to enjoy their time with us far into the future.
The Cubs learnt about Road Safety and Emergency Aid, clarifying the importance of the correct information in that crucial 999 call.
The Scouts were learning about more advanced First Aid, with Louisa (one of our Explorers who is also a trained First Aider with St. John Ambulance).
Our Explorer Unit were busy planning their part of the upcoming camp at Moorlakes, where they will be doing even more “Back to Basics” than the Scouts! They will be building their own shelters, sleeping in them, cooking without utensils and more.
The Young Leaders from Explorers were busy completing their “Module F” which is around adapting activities to members of all needs – this goes towards their Young Leader Training Award
