|Assistant Scout Leader Paul Smith
Paul currently works as a manager in an electronics company. He got into Scouting though his son, who started in Beavers. He was asked if he was interested in helping out as an occasional helper originally, but, as he says "..once they get their claws into you, you’re hooked forever!".
He's been an ASL for four years now and he loves it. To quote Paul "Why wouldn’t you, you get to be a big kid and do all different activities with the young people. You do get a sense of pride when you see them doing something for the first time or overcoming a fear. I can see myself staying in scouting until I physically can’t do it any longer."
